Following Mr. Heacox’s graduation from Mitchell | Hamline School of Law in May of 2018, and his subsequent admittance to the Minnesota State Bar in October of 2018, he joined the firm as an associate attorney. Prior to, and during, his first year of law school, Mr. Heacox worked as a law clerk for two St. Paul workers’ compensation firms representing injured employees. He then clerked contemporaneously for both Heacox, Hartman, Koshmrl, Cosgriff, Johnson, Lane & Feenstra, P.A. and a Minneapolis criminal defense firm throughout his second and third law school years. In that capacity, Mr. Heacox participated in litigation proceedings ranging from administrative conferences to federal criminal trials. While in law school, Mr. Heacox also received CALI Awards for earning the top grades in both Secured Transactions and General Skills Practicum and was a co-lead author of the below-cited article published in The Mitchell Hamline Law Review. Currently, Mr. Heacox focuses his practice on defending employers, insurers and self-insured employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation. In his free time, Mr. Heacox enjoys following hockey, exercising and fishing.
