Roderick C. Cosgriff

Bar Admissions: Minnesota State Courts, Minnesota Federal Courts

Interests: Mr. Cosgriff is a Founder of the Minnesota Bleacher Safety Committee, a parent organization that successfully lobbied at the Minnesota Legislature for the passage of the Minnesota Bleacher Safety Act in 1999. The Committee also successfully lobbied the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission to adopt the Minnesota standards as national bleacher safety standards in November 2000, and the International Code Council to adopt the standards as uniform international bleacher safety standards.

Mr. Cosgriff also has served on the Archdiocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul’s Archdiocese Finance Council and is a past chair of said Council.

Mr. Cosgriff is married with a 21 year old son and a 15 year old daughter. In his spare time he enjoys reading, writing, baseball and following his son’s hockey and his daughter’s gymnastics careers.

About Roderick:
Mr. Cosgriff has wide-ranging litigation experience in state and federal courts and has argued before the Minnesota Supreme Court. He has represented a large variety of insurance companies and self-insured corporations and has expertise in complex workers’ compensation cases. He has also written and lectured on workers’ compensation and civil litigation topics, including seminars on the use of surveillance and a seminar on trial evidence presented to the workers’ compensation judges of the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings. Mr. Cosgriff is listed in Leading American Attorneys and has an AV Martindale-Hubbell rating.

Mr. Cosgriff began his career with the firm of Sahr, Kunert and Tambornino, handling civil and workers’ compensation cases. He joined Gilmore, Aafedt, Forde, Anderson and Gray, P.A. in 1982 and was a shareholder.
