Professional Awards: Mr. Koshmrl has been perennially designated as a “Super Lawyer” by the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics. He is listed in the The Best Lawyers in America (Naifeh and Smith). Mr. Koshmrl has also been chosen by Minnesota Monthly Magazine as a “Top Lawyer in Minnesota.” He has an AV Martindale-Hubbell rating.
Interests: Mike and his wife, Paula, have three children. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, fly fishing, hunting, and frequent walks with his dogs, a Vizsla and a Weimaraner.
About Michael:
Mr. Koshmrl has handled several successful appeals of workers’ compensation cases before the Minnesota Supreme Court. He is a co-author of the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Deskbook, a treatise on workers’ compensation law in Minnesota, and regularly lectures at continuing legal education seminars.
From 1982 to 1985, Mr. Koshmrl practiced with the firm of Sahr, Kunert and Tambornino, handling the defense of both civil and workers’ compensation litigation. In 1985 he joined the firm of Chadwick, Johnson & Condon, P.A. and later became a shareholder. He was a founding shareholder of Erstad and Reimer, P.A., where he practiced from 1990 to 1996. In 1996 he founded, with five colleagues, Heacox, Hartman, Koshmrl, Cosgriff & Johnson, P.A.
Mr. Koshmrl is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.
